Gheluvelt Park
About
Gheluvelt Park is a historic memorial park in Worcester, England, opened on 17 June 1922 to honour the 2nd Battalion of the Worcestershire Regiment who fought in the First World War. The park lies along Barbourne Road, borders Barbourne Brook and the River Severn, and offers a wide range of family‑friendly attractions such as a dedicated children’s play area, a supervised paddling pool, a bandstand overlooking a duck pond, and a Victorian pump house that now houses an Environment Centre. A £33 000 sculpture and an updated play area (Splash Pad) have been added in recent years, making the park a vibrant blend of heritage, natural beauty and recreational facilities.
