Fleur De Lis
About
The Fleur De Lis is open daily from 12.00 noon. Serving food with a good selection of choice from our main menu. We also have a good selection of Real Ale, Lager, Cider, Spirits, Wines and Soft Drinks. There is a Car Parking to the rear of the pub, with a garden to relax in on sunny days. We are supper Dog and Family friendly and have a good choice of Traditional pub games to keep all entertained. The Fleur De Lis is a historic 15th Century Country Inn and still has many of its fascinating original features with open fire places and arched doorways. This was once the medieval monks sleeping house and was built as an annexe for Stoke-sub-Hamdon's 11th Century Priory. There is 30ft high large wall to the rear of the pub, which is in an excellent state of preservation and is all that remains of a once popular game called “Fives”. It is possible that the game was introduced by the monks from the Basque country who came to build the monasteries.
