Westergate House
About
Welcome to Westergate House. Built in the 1930s as a farmer’s residence, this lovely country house has had many lives – from a children’s home to a doctor’s surgery – and has welcomed guests as a bed and breakfast since 1982. Refurbished in 2020, it’s full of charm with modern touches. Set in an acre of gardens, just 5 miles south of York on the A19, we’re easy to reach with free parking, a regular bus service, and an electric car charging point. We’re your gateway to York, the coast, and the countryside. All rooms are en suite with a choice of sizes and beds. Relax in the guest lounge or on the upstairs landing with views over the Wolds. Enjoy hot drinks, fresh milk, homemade cake, and a locally sourced breakfast – from a full English to pancakes or smoked haddock. With pubs and restaurants nearby, Westergate House is ideal for short stays or longer breaks.
