Yorkshire Lavender
About
Yorkshire Lavender is a sprawling 60‑acre hillside farm tucked into the Howardian Hills area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its vast fields of fragrant lavender bloom from mid‑July to late August, offering a sensory feast for sight, smell, and sound. Visitors can wander through themed gardens – from the tranquil Bog Garden & Stream to the whimsical Lavender Maze – or explore a dedicated Sensory Garden designed to engage all five senses. A beautifully appointed EJ’s Tea Room invites guests to indulge in light food, afternoon teas and handcrafted lavender treats while enjoying panoramic valley views. The farm also hosts seasonal workshops, a wide range of beautifully crafted gifts in the on‑site Shop, and a free, expert‑advised Plant Nursery, making it a picturesque destination for families, couples, garden enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a peaceful escape. The gardens open daily from 10:00 am, extending to 8:00 pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. While entrance to the tea room, shop and plant nursery is free, garden admission is ticketed – ranging from £0 for children under 3 to £5 for adults in May, increasing to £8 in summer months. Tickets can be purchased online or on arrival. Yorkshire Lavender welcomes pets on a lead, offers free entry to the shop and tea room, and is easily accessible by car (A64) or rail (Malton).
