About
Casa de la Vall is a historic mansion that embodies Andorra la Vella’s cultural heritage. Built in 1580 by the Busquets family, the structure survived wars, reforms and two major reconstructions, most notably in 1962. In 1702 it became the seat of the Consell General, one of Europe’s oldest continuous parliaments. Today the building is open to the public and offers multilingual guided tours that explore its vaulted chambers, the emblematic tower, the dovecote and the gardens that house sculptural commemorations of Andorra’s milestones. The tours give insight into the principality’s unique co‑prince system and its evolution from a feudal parochial council to a modern constitutional state.
