These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the TripAligner website and our trip planning application. Please read them carefully before using our service.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the TripAligner website and our trip planning application (/app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must not use or access the website or application.
2. Eligibility
TripAligner is intended for users who are at least 16 years old.
By using TripAligner, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. OAuth and Supabase Authentication
Authentication is powered by Supabase Auth and may use third-party OAuth providers such as Google, Apple, and Facebook.
When you choose to sign in using an OAuth provider, your use of that provider is also subject to the provider's own terms, privacy policy, and account settings.
TripAligner requests OAuth data only for account creation, sign-in, session management, and account security. This may include your email address, OAuth provider name, provider account identifier, and authentication token information required to complete and maintain sign-in.
4. Account Security and User Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and credentials.
You agree to use the website and application only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit the use of this service by any third party.
You must not attempt to interfere with the security, availability, integrity, or proper operation of TripAligner or any related system.
5. Information Accuracy and Disclaimers
All trip plans, places, hotels, routes, opening hours, prices, maps, and travel suggestions generated or displayed by TripAligner are provided for informational purposes only.
TripAligner does not guarantee travel safety, availability, visa requirements, bookings, prices, routes, opening hours, accommodation availability, transport availability, or the accuracy of third-party information.
You are responsible for independently verifying all information before making travel arrangements, purchases, bookings, or other decisions.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
TripAligner may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, map providers, OAuth identity providers, hotel booking networks, analytics tools, and other external services.
These third-party services are outside of TripAligner's control. We do not assume responsibility for the content, availability, privacy policies, terms, or practices of any third-party services.
Your interactions with third-party services are governed by the terms and policies of those third parties.
8. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated trip planning data at any time by contacting support@tripaligner.com.
After a valid deletion request, TripAligner will remove associated account and trip planning data within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational backup processes.
Account and data deletion may permanently remove your saved trips and itineraries, and this action may not be reversible.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Malta and applicable European Union law.
Any disputes relating to these Terms or your use of TripAligner will be handled under the applicable laws and competent courts of Malta, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
