Hallstatt Skywalk
About
The Hallstatt Skywalk, also known as the World Heritage View, is currently closed to visitors as part of a major construction project that will be completed in summer 2026. While the platform sits 360 metres above the village, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Hallstatt, Lake Hallstatt, and the Dachstein Alps, access is temporarily suspended across all operating hours. During the construction phase, the funicular and the Hallstatt High Valley are also unavailable for visitors with limited mobility. As an alternative, visitors can experience the All‑Inclusive Tour – a shuttle service between Hallstatt and Salzwelten Altaussee – which includes visits to the Salzbergwerk. The tour is free of charge and available on selected days. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and consult the official Salzwelten website for the latest updates on closures and alternative activities.
