The Hager bakery, founded in 1907, looks back on a long tradition with an unbroken awareness of the values ​​of traditional baking. Wolfgang Hager leads the bakery in the 4th generation and it is also he who has dedicated himself entirely to the return to the original bakery trade: artificial ingredients, baking mixes and leavening agents are deliberately avoided, instead he relies on manual labour, regional suppliers - over 70% the raw materials come from Lower Austria - and long-term management, a method in which the dough, based on natural sourdough, has up to 12 hours to mature: the bread tastes better and is also more digestible. The Hager bakery is headquartered in St. Pölten (Mühlweg 68, 3100 St. Pölten), and the company has a total of 190 employees at 15 locations and 6 mobile branches.
