The House of Metallurgy and Industry of Liège (MMIL) introduces to the steel and industrial heritage in a real old factory dating back to 1845. 2,500 m² to discover the industrial heritage of Liège. With a visit, you will travel through time and will be introduced to great names of Liège’s industry such as Zénobe Gramme or John Cockerill. The permanent exhibition rooms: They reveal the secrets of metallurgy and energies through the ages. With your family or in a group, the numerous collections of the Maison de la Métallurgie will tell you their history, in the company of a guide or guided by our visitor’s notebook. The temporary exhibition: With its temporary exhibitions, the MMIL displays collections usually kept in its reserves. For a defined period of time, these collections shed new light on specific themes, in line with the museum’s missions.
