In the spring of 2015, the revamped regional visitor centre of the Gasthuiskapel opened its doors to the public. This visitor centre serves as a professional guide to tourists in the city and region and is the ideal starting point to actively explore the city centre and areas. The chapel was part of the former St. Jacobusgasthuis, whose origins date back to the 12th century.
