About

Please make sure to read the full description before booking with us, as it contains some very useful information. We are a brand new hostel in Plitvice Lakes! If you are looking for a backpackers haven with like-minded travelers who enjoy nature, outdoor activities and adventure travel then you've come to the right place. Being travelers ourselves we can help you make the most out of your trip to the National Park. With sustainability in mind we designed our hostel to have solar thermal water heating, LED lighting and composting of all organic waste. Our property lies nestled in a valley between Mrsinj and Pljesevica Mountain (we offer free hiking tours to Pljesevica or Mrsinj!) and is at the heart of all mountaineering, hiking, and biking trails. We offer comfy dorms with custom made bunk beds that have built-in lockers, a personal plug and a reading light. In our common room area you can hang out, read, play board games or enjoy a locally brewed beer. Some of our other services include: free wifi, free linen, towels and locks for rent, shared fully-equipped kitchen, luggage storage, outdoor patio. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we get asked by our guests. How to get to us: We are on the south border of the national park in a town called Korenica, and are a 15 min drive from entrance 2 of the falls. Korenica is the nearest town from the lakes and is the only place in the area that has full services and amenities, such as: three supermarkets, a post office, restaurants, cafes, bars, ATM, hospital, etc. all within 5 min walking distance from the hostel. Getting to the park: We offer a daily shuttle service from the hostel to the park at 9 am with a return at 5 pm for as many people as needed. By pooling people together we are able to offer cheap transport to the lakes and back (return ticket 35 kuna per person, 4.50 euros). It's also cheaper than taking the bus. Keep in mind that the location of the falls and lakes within the park is remote with miles of surrounding wilderness. So when you book your bus to get to us, make sure that you book to Korenica and not Plitvice entrance 1 or entrance 2, since you will be at the gate of the park and therefore in the middle of nowhere. Once you arrive in Korenica getting to us is pretty simple. How long do I need to see the park: to see the basics i.e. the falls of the park you need a full day, approximately eight hours. However, the park has many beautiful hiking and mountaineering trails. To take advantage of the region fully and to hike the main trails you need about four days.
