100 Stola ("stola" means chairs). The stairs between Moskovska and Budapest Streets just around the corner from the British embassy and the Arena di Serdica hotel have always held a special charm, away from the noise and bustle on the nearby boulevards. The long-abandoned courtyard of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) building on 1 Budapest Street has been transformed into the 100 Chairs space, an open-air stage for free concerts and cultural events, with a pop-up bar, art installations, designer furniture and street art. In May there is an anual three day festival.
