Vinkovci Municipal Museum is situated in the town centre on main square in the shade of almost centennial lindens. It tells the story of almost 8300 years of continuous life in Vinkovci, from Neolithic, Copper age, Bronze age, Iron age, Roman age, Migration period, Avaro-Slavic period, Slavic states and Medieval and modern era. Discover two eponymous cultures (Late Neolithic Sopot culture and Early Bronze age Vinkovci culture), largest collection of Avar graves in Croatia, as well as many unique and fascinating objects in Archaeological permanent exhibition and discover rich traditional culture in Ethnological permanent exhibition with depictions of all aspects of life in traditional culture from Vinkovci and surrounding area. Museum shop offers a selection of souvenirs and publications from its rich collections.
