SVĚT VODY (THE WORLD OF WATER) is represented by a unique work of art of world-class quality, located in Přepeře near Turnov. The author of this work is the world painter of Indian origin Hesham Malik. The artwork SVĚT VODY is part of the transformation of a former industrial site. The extraordinary work of art is located in the new Small Hydroelectric Power Plant Přepeře II, which won second place in the Building of the Year competition of the Liberec Region. The artwork by acclaimed artist Hesham Malik is a mural entitled SVĚT VODY (THE WORLD OF WATER). The work took more than a year and a half to accomplish, including preparation. The mural was symbolically completed on 20.06.2020 at 06:20. The work was officially opened to the public on 21 August 2020. The painting covers the complete inner space of the small hydroelectric power station and the total area of the painting is 165 m2 and the highest point is at 10 meters. Malik incorporated the theme of the rise and fall of a civilization, politics, as well as beauty and strength into the work. As is typical of the artist, he conceived of the painting as a telling of a story, in this case the myths of ancient Egypt. The work also reflects the spontaneous inspiration of the place, when the author was influenced by the people and life around Jizera river during the summer, so according to his own words, the work reflects his feeling of the place. This entire painting was created without the use of brushes and other tools that one might expect. The painting was created using only his hands, which adds the right depth when we talk about the artist's imprint. The space is filled with golden light, depth and shimmer of blue, richness of red and seriousness of black.
