About
The Holy Trinity Column, a grand plague column standing 35 metres tall, dominates the historic centre of Olomouc. Erected in the early‑18th century in the Olomouc Baroque style, it is the largest column of its kind in Europe. Designed by Václav Render, its ornate sculptures—many by artist Ondřej Zahner—illustrate religious themes, culminating in a small chapel at the base. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the column offers visitors a striking example of Baroque public art and a panoramic view of the city.
