About
Trapholt is a contemporary art and design museum situated in Kolding, Denmark. The museum opened in 1988 and was expanded in 1996 to house a vast collection of 20th‑century Danish furniture and design objects, along with contemporary art from both national and international artists. Highlights include the rare Arne Jacobsen Kubeflex summer house, an extensive outdoor sculpture park, and a permanent exhibition of works by painter Richard Mortensen. With 2,500 m² of exhibition space divided into eight galleries, Trapholt offers guided tours, family‑friendly activities, and an on‑site restaurant overlooking Kolding Fjord.
