About
44Møen is a space for contemporary art running exhibitions, events, residencies, workshops ect. In 2023 44Møen reopens in broader surroundings. With new facilities for sound art, childrens workshops and a residency program for working artists, 44Møen is now a small art village with big ambitions. 44Møen was established in 2008 by a group of artists based on Møn. The former auto repair shop was transformed into a modern art space, and over time it has been built on and expanded. The new 44Møen opens with an ambitious programme of exhibitions and events. Intermezzo is part of the international Riga-biennial, normally situated in the capital of Latvia, Riga. This year, the biennial has moved to 44Møen, to display new artworks by artists from Latvia, Denmark, Ukraine, Turkey, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
