Fort de Tamie
About
Built in 1872, the Fort de Tamie is one of the 10 fortifications of the Albertville fortress. This former 16-hectare enclosed military structure overlooks the rocky spur of the Col de Tamie at an altitude of 907 meters. Classified as Pierres-forts de Savoie®, its ramparts conceal several casemates, galleries and underground rooms dug into the rock. Located in the Massif des Bauges Regional Natural Park, the Fort de Tamie opens onto a vast green and hilly setting where it is good to walk or just relax. The Tour du Fort path makes it possible to cross between the forests and the tunnels of the structure and to access the three belvederes (Mont-Blanc, Grand Arc and Tournette) offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. At the heart of the ramparts, you will discover an Adventure Course in the trees (zip lines, via ferrata, walkways ...), a play park, a store of Savoyard products, a snack bar and a picnic area.
