About

ICONE GALLERY UNVEILS THE NEW PUBLIC SPACE OF THE WORK "TOSCA" BY ARTIST SIMON BERGER After a solo exhibition at the Glass Museum in Murano, the creation of a portrait of Kamala Harris displayed at the Lincoln Museum in Washington, and a vibrant tribute to British writer Aldous Huxley at the Municipal Museum of Sansepolcro, Simon Berger installs this creation for the first time in front of the Opéra Comique, one of the oldest theatrical and musical institutions in France. A tribute to the Italian opera by Giacomo Puccini, whose first performance took place over 120 years ago, on October 15, 1903, at the Opéra Comique in Paris. More than just an interpretation of the iconic singer Tosca, Simon Berger's work celebrates the multiple female characters who inspire him and are at the heart of his unique artistic practice. This monumental piece offers a bold fusion between contemporary art and French architectural heritage.
