Opening of the tourist site: March 31, 2018 - November 4, 2018 The Historic Site of the Caves of St Christophe is located in the Chartreuse massif in Savoie. The site offers guided tours of two caves. The first cave is still periodically active (traversed by the waters) and has a meander with beautiful pots (circular shape created by old swirls). The second cave is crossed from side to side on a footbridge 20 meters above the ground and leads to a panorama of the village of St Christophe la Grotte and the valley of Chartreuse. Between the two caves, the guided tour also allows to walk on the Sardinian Way: an old Roman road on the Lyon Chambery Turin route that was restored by the Duke of Savoy Charles Emmanuel II in 1670.
