The Estate The vineyards are located 50 km from Montpellier, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, close to the terraces of Larzac and the hillsides of Salagou. Mas Caoudou takes its name from the Occitan "sweet heat", and benefits from a dry Mediterranean climate as well as a unique soil, called "ruffe", clayey sediments loaded with iron oxide. The current planted area is 30 hectares and the plots are located in the commune of Puech as well as on the banks of the Lac du Salagou in Liausson.
