Urdla
About
URDLA is a workshop, an art gallery, and a publishing unit. Each year, URDLA selects and invites artists for residencies. These artists, coming from diverse backgrounds, aesthetics, and generations, have the opportunity to practice original printmaking using the equipment and expertise made available to them. As a result, nearly 500 artists from around the world have created more than 2,000 works at URDLA. At the end of a residency, the public is invited to discover the prints fresh off the presses during a special event with the artist. Additionally, as an art center dedicated to printmaking, URDLA organizes four to five monographic or group exhibitions each year, combining printed works produced in-house with other pieces by the artists.
