Recently renovated 3 bedroom stone barn, sleeping 8 people and nestling in 3500sq meters of land with stunning views over open fields and the Les Gorges du Chambon, close to the Charente/ Dordogne border. Decorated and furnished to a high standard to ensure your stay in France goes perfectly. With generously packed welcome box your holiday is guaranteed to get off to a great start on the Richard the Lion heart route through France. Montbron is a short distance away with its supermarkets, restaurants, French and Irish bars. The hidden treasures of the Charente are endless. There`s a whole world of landscapes: The valleys of the river Charente, the wonderful vineyards around Cognac, farmland, forests and lakes. Excellent leisure activities and facilities: cycling, walking and horse riding. The Charente also has beautiful historic towns and villages, with Chateaux, castles and Roman baths. Good value car rentals from the airport however, we are able to offer a collection service should you wish to hire cycles which can be hired through ourselves. These are FULLY inclusive rates, unlike other cheaper establishments, they include towels, linen, fully equipped kitchen and garden furniture, UK TV, Electricity, Water and Heating are also included to help make your stay at our gite your perfect holiday. Bank Holiday weeks attract high season rates. Lower rates for shorter stays in low season. Minimum stay in high season is one week. The Barn must be vacated by 11.00 am on the day of departure to allow for cleaning and will be ready for occupation on day of arrival at 3.00 pm, local time. Rental Rates shown are UK Pounds. Payments to be in UK Pounds. To the outside there is beautiful views of open countryside with a patio area and patio furniture to seat 8 people. Barbecue. Car parking for two vehicles. The ground floor comprises of a kitchen diner with everything you would expect, hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Up a couple of steps is the lounge area with two sofa’s, a coffee table, large screen TV., English Satellite receiver, DVD player and a Media Player with over 100 films of all types, for all ages. Here you will find information for places to visit, where to eat and brochure containing emergency information and telephone numbers, just in case Master Bedroom: This room has a traditional and contemporary twist. It comprises of a double bed, dressing table, wardrobe and two hand-made bedside tables carefully hand crafted by a family friend. En-suite with double shower. Bedroom Two: This room is very shabby chic with a hint of floral decor. It has a king size bed, dressing table, wardrobe, and has a beautiful window looking east out onto the garden and an absolutely stunning view of the countryside. Bedroom Three: A room with a very trendy theme comprising of two single beds. It has a wardrobe and bedside table and faces north over the driveway to the property. A travel cot bed is provided if needed. Two extra beds for downstairs.
