In the heart of a 25-hectare wooded park, crossed by 2 rivers, the Poulaines estate, mentioned in archive documents as early as 1340, has different atmospheric gardens and an arboretum. (Over 1500 species listed). In the historical part, magnificent trees and boxwoods of over a hundred years old surround a Renaissance manor house and its outbuildings. For over 30 years, the owners have brought this preserved place back to life by restoring the buildings and have created 16 themed gardens, over 5 hectares, where you can stroll between cultivated species and wild flora. We are working knowing the environmental issues: preservation of water resources, mulching and shredding for mulch, low energy buildings Our aim is to provide an experience for our guests and visitors. By preserving traditional know-how, with a requirement of quality. The Poulaines estate has been awarded the "Jardin Remarquable" 1 star Michelin.
