Le Pigeonnier is about 120 square meters in size. The house has been renovated from the original building which housed pigeons some years ago. (Pigeonholes are even still visible) The house has its own outside seating area for “al-fresco” dining located near to the main entrance of the accommodation. Outdoor table and chairs are available and also a parasol. A private charcoal Bbq completes the outside equipment. Several relaxing chairs are also provided. Le Pigeonnier has been classified as 3* accommodation by the French Tourist Board. The main door leads from the courtyard directly to the living room complete with 2 comfortable sofas. The wood burner is set in the original stone fireplace and bread furnace. Adjacent to the living room is the contemporary kitchen with an extending dining table to comfortably seat 4 guests. There is an induction cooker, an electric oven, also a dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer, and all the appliances you may need for your breakfast (toaster, kettle, coffee machine), even an extra espresso machine (with coffee powder), and a hand- held electrical blender and whisk. In the living room is a satellite Tv, a Dvd player, a stereo and board games. On the ground floor, there is also a large bathroom with a shower cabinet and WC. On the first floor a second smaller bathroom is adjacent to the singles bedroom (with shower cabin and Wc too) Bedrooms and bathrooms configuration: The first floor accommodation is accessed by a spiral staircase (safety fence can be used for young children). On 1st floor, you will find: • 1 bedroom with a double bed. A large platform (3 steps from 1st floor) allows a children’s bed (<12 years old) to be installed. • 1 interconnected/adjoining bedroom with 2 single beds (+ its 1 shower room and WC) The 1st floor can also be reached from outside using the outside stoned stairs (easier to drop the luggage) The site “Manoir du Bourg” comprises three stunning 17th-century properties, steeped in history and located in the centre of the village of Saint Helen. It consists of three stone -built properties with many original features including beams and old fireplaces. The properties can be booked as all three houses or as single units (more details follow). Rented all together, they can accommodate 22 guests in total from May to the end of August. During September and October total capacity is 18 guests. The properties provide luxury accommodation for families, groups of friends or individuals looking for something a little bit special. The 3 properties are situated in a grassy, landscaped courtyard. The owners, Laure and David live on site. Le Manoir, can be booked in 2 main configurations, depending on the season and the number of guests. • in July/August: configured for 12 persons • in May/June: either for 12 or 8 persons • in low season (Sept/October): only available for 8 persons, a smaller configuration (and hence warmer!). All the bedrooms are on 1st floor (the top floor is closed) This specific configuration is called “Le Petit Manoir”. Le Puits, sleeps 6 persons Please enquire if you need more detail of any of the properties above. A private parking area (outside the property but adjacent to the main gate) allows 1 car to park. For more than this a public parking place (free and safe) is also very near to the property (1 minute walk). In 2023, it will be possible to recharge your electric car on the private parking area. There will be a cost for this. Please ask when you make your booking. The gardens are large (total 2000 m2!) with a lovely grassy area, an ideal haven to play safely. You can play football, molkky, (Scandinavian skittles) badminton, palets Breton (kind of breton ‘pétanque’), etc. There is a shady area with also a pergola and tables There is a heated outdoor swimming pool, (safe access via a gate) dimensions: 9x4 meters. Deckchairs and parasol are available there. The pool is open from 1st May until the end of September. Please bring your own pool towels. Also at your disposal is a covered games area with table tennis, darts and a pool table. A popular addition for the youngsters is an indoor den, also known as “The Kid’s Only” room – no adults allowed! This has a flat-screen Tv and children's DVDs together with games and books. It is a great place for the youngsters to chill out. The Manoir is located in the peaceful heart of the village Saint Helen, close to Dinan in northern Brittany (10 minutes away by car). It's just a minute's walk to the local bar (with a small grocer's shop where you will also find regional products) and a bakery where delicious fresh breads and pastries are baked daily. The closest supermarkets are located at Lanvallay, 7 minutes ago from your accommodation by car. In Saint Helen, there is also a tennis court adjacent to the property (some racquets from the owners are available) and a small fishing lake a few minutes’ walk away. The beautiful forest of
