At the heart of the vallée de l'homme, immerse yourself in a high place of the human lineage : Cro-Magnon Rock Shelter. The site museum is located on the very spot where, in 1868, the first modern human burial was recognised. A fun and interactive learning journey was created so that a wide audience can easily understand the archaeological significance of the place, the memory of its illustrious name, the latest advances in research and get an idea of the daily life of these famous ancestors. A holographic film, touch pads and an immersive scenography are a part of the installations you will see. You will end your visit by a walk in the woods with sound, discovering the hunting track of the Cro-Magnon Man with a superb view of the village and the Vézère Valley beyond.
