About

Inside the imposing tower gate of Domme are curious graffitis in 1970, Canon Tonnelier attributed them to the knights Templar. Since then, many visitors have discovered these and questionned the presence of The Templars. In 2018, the graffiti were restored and a new study of the engravings was commissionned. It confirmed that the thesis of Canon Tonnelier wasn't possible and that the towergate was possibility "a place of waiting, or even idleness..." that "the esthetic dimension should not be neglected". Nowadays, everyone maintains these are unique, exceptionnal and reamain a real mystery. What do you think?
