Vegetal production has always been the main activity and central purpose of Puygirault. Daily life at this special site was centred around its buildings and vegetable garden that is supported by a unique irrigation network. The 14 gardens take you on a journey through human's historical relationship with the cultivation of plants. You will travel from the hunter-gather period to the modern day with its bountiful and varied selection of plant life. A space where you can come to learn or simply relax, our gardens respect the planet. We use green manure crops, natural fertilizers and compost to nourrish and protect our precious soil. These are essential aspects in taking care of the land and sustaining its fertility.
