Ramparts Cemetery, situated just south of Ieper’s Market Square, is a solemn World War I memorial overlooking the historic Lille Gate. Designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield, the cemetery contains 198 Commonwealth burials and is easily accessible, even by wheelchair through an alternative entrance. A quiet place for reflection, it offers visitors a glimpse into the brutal history of the Western Front and the enduring peace that now prevails.
