About

Emblematic garden of the Enlightenment, Parc Rousseau is intimately linked to landscape painting. During the walk, it reveals a succession of frames in a nature celebrated as wild. Its famous host, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, spent the last weeks of his existence before being inhume on the Isle of Poplars. Thereon it became a pilgrimage destination and many of its patterns have been mimicked.
