At the heart of Lyons-la-Forêt, this remarkable covered market (first documental in the 14th century) was entirely renovated in the 18th century thanks to the Duke de Penthièvre, grand-child of Louis XIV and last lord of Lyons. It is also famous for being the spot of shooting for "Madame Bovary" movie, directed by Claude Chabrol. Craft market early June. Flowers Day first week-end of July. Apple Day early October. On thursday, saturday and sunday morning, enjoy its typical french market. From spring to automn, regular art exhibitions also take place in its cellar.
