Watergate was one of Berlin’s most iconic nightclubs, renowned for its lush, waterfront setting on the Spree in the heart of Kreuzberg. For two decades it hosted world‑renowned DJs and cultivated an immersive dance‑music culture that attracted partygoers from across Europe and beyond. In 2025 the club announced its final closure, thanking patrons for their support and celebrating a legacy of groundbreaking events, from club nights to open‑air festivals at nearby Sage Beach. Even though the club will no longer be open, its influence continues through the Watergate Records label, which keeps the club’s spirit alive on the vinyl and in the playlists of electronic music fans worldwide.
