Steinbruch Mohlau

About

A volcano existed here about 290 million years ago, the last one in Halle Volcano range. The quarry was redesigned in 1935 with three lakes, steep cliffs, pavilion and bridge to the park. There were also plantings, paths and in 1951 an open-air stage. The Mohlau people are envied for this 5 hectare gem, it invites you to linger.
