Brick walls, thatched roof, lots of green - that sums up the Dorfkrug Volksdorf in the museum village of the same name. Housed in a 200 year old farmhouse, the restaurant has a modern menu which combines German dishes with international culinary influences. Guests can choose from tapas, sophisticated dishes with meat, fish and chicken, or simple snacks. The fine food is complemented by a carefully chosen wine list. Brunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month. The main room can accommodate functions for up to 50 people, and the Spiekerhaus seats up to 100. The summer garden opens at the beginning of May. The Dorfkrug Volksdorf also offers cooking courses that can be booked for five participants or over.
