UNESCO World Heritage Site CORVEY The former Benedictine abbey of Corvey is considered to be one of the most important monastic establishments in medieval Germany and has been appointed a UNESCO World Heritage site. After nearly 1000 years of monastic life, today’s visitors are received into a baroque castle complex under ducal ownership. The early medieval westwork, the baroque monastery, as well as the princely library with about 75,000 volumes, fascinate guests from all over the world.
