Pigeon Post Bar & Eatery
About
The Pigeon Post Bar & Eatery delivers a modern and innovative gastronomy concept. A combination of restaurant, bar and lounge – with unusual name and funny details as a clear reference to the history of the building. It was a post office in the early 1950s through to the late 1990s, when it was converted into a hotel. This Mediterranean eatery meets hearty “Koelsches”. Executive Chef Stefan Luxem invested a lot of passion in the creation of his dishes. He was not only inspired by carrier pigeons but also by many other impressions from distant countries. The source of ideas was the migratory bird that flies through the countries and brings the best products and dishes with them from everywhere. The Bar focuses on spirits, herbs and spices from all over the world while seamlessly combining them with local specialties and homemade syrups that are used in home-flavoured spirits. The team works classically with modern techniques and likes to serve the drinks in extravagant glasses.
