Kunsthalle Osnabruck
About
Kunsthalle Osnabrück is one of the most important platforms for contemporary art in Lower Saxony and radiates far beyond the city with its innovative and experimental exhibitions and mediation projects, which are presented both in the unique rooms of the former Dominican monastery and in public spaces. Since January 2020, the Kunsthalle has been managed by Anna Jehle and Juliane Schickedanz. Since then, the Kunsthalle Osnabrück has been working with annual themes to which all exhibitions and events are oriented. In 2020, the annual theme was "DISAPPOINTMENT", in 2021 "ACCESSIBILITY" and "ROMANTICISM" in 2022. The Kunsthalle's programmes address social questions: How do we live - now and in the future? What is important for our coexistence in society? Which injustices are reproduced in the arts? And how are these reflected in art and culture?
