Located in the 550-year-old former Monastery of Dalheim, the LWL-State Museum of monastery culture is also characterized by more than 3.000 sqm of modern exhibition space. The permanent exhibition illustrates 1.700 years of European monastery culture. The historical cloister has been remodelled by modern means and enables the visitor to explore the every-day-life of a (medieval) monastery.
