The Landgasthof Paulus & Der Laden, a carefully renovated farmhouse situated in the northern part of Saarland next to the entrance of the Hunsrueck-Hochwald National Park, is a place where you can truly relax and let your cares drift away - be it on our secluded wine terrace when the sun is shining or the evenings are warm, or inside in the Mediterranean winter garden, the elegant dining room or cosy lounge bar. For a number of years now we - thats Thomas A. Nickels & Sigrune Essenpreis - have gained a reputation for our extraordinary wine culture. Variety and pleasure is our motto. We serve quality wines from around the world by the glass. We know the vintners and personally visit the wine-growing regions of the world - and we are more than pleased to share our discoveries with you. What is special about the cuisine at the Landgasthof Paulus you may ask? Less is more! At first sight, the menu contains everyday, unspectacular dishes! But take a second look: these are dishes that are of spectacular, un-everyday quality! In a time when there is never enough time, we take the time to cook for you - in the truest sense of the word. All our food is home cooked. We prepare our soups and sauces ourselves. We particulary enjoy using in our kitchen products that are grown in our region in accordance with organic regulations.
