Petrangelos and family welcome you to Maklithari in the vilage of Makriotika. Known as "the balcony of Pylaros", Makriotika sits on the lower slopes of Mount Agia Dinati (saint Dinati) and is a small traditional Greek working village with its own identity. Maklithari takes its name from the historic village name of Makriotika-Makri Lithari which literally means 'big/long rock'. In years gone by the Makri Lithari, with panoramic views across the countryside to Agia Efimia in the east and Divarata to the west, became the gathering place for local people th meet for conversation, trading, drink, music and food.
