Luxury upper class residence 270m2 from the mid 60s in Kalamata, it was recently renovated in 2018. The Mansion consists of two floors: The ground floor (Thalias Quarters) and the first floor (Angelinas Quarters) which are connected by an internal door to provide privacy and comfort. Guests can enjoy a rich private garden of the residence with ample privacy, a 25 seater solid wood dining table and a private luxurious mini spa with a garden view and a hammam (steam bath) in the ground floor quarters. With respect towards the local vernacular architecture this residence, the traditional Mediterranean mosaic and timber floors, all original materials have been restored and renovated to their original finely crafted state. Luxury beds with very comfortable American mattresses, tastefully picked furniture and décor. Old restored wooden windows which have had double glazing installed and in general all the luxury amenities of the 21st century are provided. Heating, cooling and domestic hot water are provided by 100% by renewable sources of energy. When the houses were being renovated the garden had two tall pine trees which had to be cut down in order to preserve the foundations of the house. The trees were cut, however the trunks were used as the base and seating for a long outdoor dining table carved out of the timber salvaged from the trees so that they could continue to be a part of the homes memories. The Mansion is located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Kalamata, in a walking distance from the centre, and the local beach. This neighbourhood was once an endless orange and lemon grove, the Mansion along with its neighbouring houses has preserved the old homes and gardens to give a unique view of traditional hospitality in Kalamata and the south of Greece.
