KARPOS NEMEAS, is a small shop, just opposite of the central square of the village of Archaia Nemea (Ancient Nemea), just 200 meters from the archaeological site. You can find and taste (FREE) local wines from small producers from all over the area, mainly organic. Virgin olive oil, olives and olive paste. Apart from that, you can find many other local products, like grape syrup, raisins, oxymeli drink (ancient recipe of Greek Physician Galen), souvenirs made by the village’s young people, photos from the revival of the ancient games, etc. You can also find rare species of honey, herbs, virgin olive oil, various vinegars from local wines, sweets and jams without sugar (with fruit juices as sweetener). Excellent chutneys and dressings. Finally, many cosmetics, locally produced and based on virgin olive oil and wine. It’s amazing what nature can offer to humans!
