• Caprice has been offering an authentic Italian cuisine since 1994. It deservingly competes with Italian trattorias, and it is located at a hidden spot behind Hydra's port, about 150m. . Its kitchen, ideal for lovers of good food, combines authentic Italian recipes "slightly modified" with authentic Greek traditional products. Its all-time favorite dishes are pizza with an authentic, homemade, thin, Italian crust, and a large variety of fresh pasta. Dishes of great inspiration, local seafood, squid, sea urchin, lobster and delicious fish fillets. Vasilis, the owner, attends to the flavor selections, emphasizing on fresh and seasonal ingredients turning them into imaginative and delicious dishes. The wine list is also created and updated by him and includes mostly Greek and Italian labels. The traditional local almond-based dessert and authentic tiramisu are some of his personal gastronomical successes. The friendly and hospitable environment brings out the owner's creativity and personal style. The island whites and blues dominate the interior and exterior space. The main decorations are authentic nautical paintings, photos, old tools and equipment used by sponge divers which have become heirlooms showcasing the family's nautical past.
