Starting from his pastry shop in 1953 in Asvestochori, together with his famous siropiastas, delicious galaktobourekas and fresh donuts, Giorgos Koukos created a cheese pie that was destined to KOUKOS cheese pie became famous all over Thessaloniki! With the same family recipe, in 1971 he took a different step - on the beach of Peria, in a small shop, he exclusively offers cheese pies! Since then, the people of Thessalonica who escaped by boat in the summers, formed queues for the bag of cheese pies which was now a favorite habit that always accompanied the walk to the beach! In Perea, the story has been continued for 45 years by Konstantinos Koukos. Based on this years-long tradition and looking to the future, the third generation goes to the next level: it offers the legendary Koukos cheese pies and new products with pure and fresh ingredients in a model open laboratory production area where our friends can watch the marriage of tradition with the most modern baking methods!
