Balatoni Mediterran Botanikus Kert
About
The garden covers approximately five thousand square meters in Kisapáti, on Szent György-hegy, which is characterized by a sub-Mediterranean microclimate. The location offers a perfect, unique panorama of Lake Balaton and the "land of Hungarian volcanoes" - that is, the witness mountains. The owner - Sándor Bicskei - was inspired by his travels to design the garden, so visitors can also go on a "round the world" trip during their walk. The agaves and cacti are reminiscent of the Mexican desert, the cedar promenade is reminiscent of Sicily, the fertile olive grove is reminiscent of Spain, and the palm trees give the guests a sense of life on the Amalfi Coast. There are nearly 700 plants in the garden, which are also winter-hardy in Hungary, so they can withstand the Hungarian climate as well. This means that we can enjoy the beauty and diversity of the garden all year round. As a pet-friendly place, we also welcome four-legged pets! The guided walks - which last 60 minutes - discuss
