Bellatrix is a bed and breakfast for women on the Beara Peninsula, South West Cork, Ireland. In addition to offering bed and breakfast to our guests, we also run hiking and walking tours suitable to your level of fitness. We are a ten-minute drive from Dzogchen Beara Meditation Retreat centre and many of our guests have attended retreats there. Our house is set in mature gardens with views of Knockgour. We are located beside a forest which leads down to the Atlantic and you can enjoy a beautiful coastal walk right from our door. The trail leads out to Pipers Point where you have magnificent views to Bear Island, Sheeps Head and Mizen Head. We regularly see common dolphins, porpoises, grey and common seals and if you are really lucky you might see the otters. We are approximately 4K from the local town Castletownbere where you will find all the usual shops, pubs and restaurants. One pub of note; McCarthy's bar located in the square is a MUST visit. The proprietor, Adrienne McCarthy is always very welcoming and serves a great pint!
