The Natural Foods Bakery is a family-run business in Cork. They bake everything themselves from scratch. They have two cafés - one in Blackrock Village and one in Fitzgerald Park. Their bakery is in The Marina Commercial Park. They come from a healthfood background and cater for diverse dietary requirements - plenty of vegan options in their cafés and they even have a tiny dedicated gluten free bakery. The NFB is now in it's 21st year of business, probably making it one of Cork's longest running café/bakeries. In 2007, they started the Blackrock Village Sunday Market - now a Cork institution in itself. THE FOOD: It's all about the food! They start the day with the morning bake: Freshly made croissants, Danish pastries, pains au chocolat and scones. Moving into lunchtime, they make excellent sandwiches (try their homemade pesto, brie and sundried tomato), amazing fresh soups and pies. Their Cool Mountain Coffee is so smooth (they are not fans of the burnt bean). OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK :)
