Maria's Cakes began in Kilkenny City and was one of the first Novelty Cake Shops to appear here. At Maria's Cakes we make cakes for every occasion. All of our Cakes are made individually and especially for you in every way and that's what makes us different. Everything we make is homemade using fresh free range eggs from Granstown Eggs, Portlaoise and real Irish butter from local shops in Kilkenny. The cakes we make are the same cakes your Granny used to make, tasty and fresh. We always try our best to buy locally when possible. ​ Our specialities are Wedding and Novelty Cakes, but we also make traditional buttercream cakes too. ​We have Freshly Baked Cupcakes, Cake slices and Cake Pops available in our shop. There are many flavours to choose from including Oreo, Malteaser, Jaffa, Nutella, Vanilla and lots more.
