Achonry Farmers Market is a volunteer led community based Market operating weekly in Nace O'Dowd Park Achonry on the N17. The Market takes place each Saturday from 10am to 1pm. The market started during Covid in 2020 and has gone from strengh to strengh in the intervening years. Local food and craft traders operate from custom built chalets built by a team of local volunteers. The market offers an excellent selection of food (breads/scones, dinners, meats, fish, fruit and veg, treats) and a large selection fo art/crafts. Most of the traders are from the locality. There is a welcoming market cafe with tea/coffee and refreshments. Last year a new roof was constructed to enable customers enjoy the market experience regardsless of the weather. This market is different to any other market as it it completely run and operated by a large team of volunteers and you are guaranteed to have a friendly welcome when excellent service. All profits from the market are reinvested in the community.
