Just a few minutes drive from the center of the main centers of the Tiber Valley, such as Sansepolcro, Anghiari, Citerna, Monterchi and Città di Castello, Agriturismo Podere Casenove is the ideal place for those seeking tranquility, comfort and at the same time wish explore the untold wealth (landscapes, religious, cultural, gastronomic, spa etc.) offered by the Upper Tiber Valley Umbria and Tuscany. The farm "Podere Casenove" is located among the green hills of Umbria, near some of the most sought after tourist destinations of Umbria, Tuscany, Marche and Romagna and is positioned on a hill from which it enjoys a magnificent panorama of the entire Upper Tiber Valley at 330 meters above sea level, in the town of ancient Etruscan origin of Citerna, whose territory was densely populated in Roman times. Presentation The Farmhouse Podere Casenove is set in Umbria in a village in the municipality of Citerna in the province of Perugia in a prominent position on the Tiber Valley. Our apartments are surrounded by greenery and nestled on a hillside overlooking the entire Umbrian Valley and Tuscany. Our accommodation, created on the basis of an old farmhouse that we have tastefully renovated respecting the local Umbrian traditions, is composed of four separate apartments and a private pool for guests. We are in close contact with nature and surrounded by many landscape treasures, religious and cultural at the same time very close to the modern facilities offered by the major centers of Valtiberina such as Sansepolcro and Città di Castello that are just minutes away by car. An ideal environment for all those seeking tranquility and at the same time not give to today's comfort. Farm - The History The farm 'Podere Casenove' is located between the green hills of Umbria, near some of the most sought after tourist destinations of Umbria, Tuscany, Marche and Romagna and is positioned on a hill from which it enjoys a magnificent panorama of the entire Upper Tiber Valley at 330 meters above sea level, in the town of ancient Etruscan origin of Citerna, whose territory was densely populated in Roman times. The beauty and charm of these places did say to Pliny the Younger 'Would you try a great pleasure to cover this region from the hills: you seem, in fact, to see not a territory, but a picture painted with incredible skill'. The holiday house is surrounded by a large green area is completely fenced and independent, with garden, 2 swimming pools (for adults of 12x6 meters and for children 4x3 meters), parking and shelter for motorcycle or bicycle. The four apartments Company Agrituristica are carefully furnished and have a large green area and solarium for a relaxing stay. The farm Podere Casenove is for hundreds of years the property of Canosci Family; until 1984 was conducted with a company 'Agreement Mezzadria' therefore the land was cultivated by the family of so-called 'Mezzadro' who lived in the house. The farm up to that time was composed of: - Agricultural land of 5.20 hectares (of which 5 hectares of arable land and 0.20 hectares is covered by vineyard); - Agricultural Casale used to house the sharecropper; - Canopy in front of the house with wood-burning oven; - Open shelter used as storage farm tools; - Building used as a granary; - Building used as a white tobacco drying product in our land; - Large ground of relevance of the above mentioned property called 'Hague'. Following the demerger of sharecropping contract after 1984 direct cultivation by the owners and as a result of substantial renovations the building has become the home of the summer holidays of the owner's family. Since 2000, they began further restoration work in compliance with local types such as wooden beams, terracotta, parts of face walls etc. aimed to gradually launch a new Agrituristica activities. The hospitality business has had an actual beginning in 2002 and followed with loving care directly by Mrs. Luigina wife of the owner. apartments Our farmhouse has four finely furnished independent apartments with every comfort: THE NOCIO 32 sqm two-room around that can accommodate up to 4 people entirely on the ground floor with central heating. The holiday apartment 'The Nocio' consists of: • living room with double sofa bed; • corner with gas hob, fridge, sink, cabinets, drawers, pots, plates, cutlery, table with 4 chairs; •double room; •bathroom with shower; • outdoor space with table, chairs and umbrella. From this property you have spectacular views over the natural amphitheater of the Valtiberina and on the wonderful hill of the medieval village of Citerna.
